Die CDU gegen die Klima Allianz!?

Kann es den wirklich war sein und ist „unsere Union“ so sehr von Lobbyisten und (old school wirtschaftlichen-) Interessen durchsetzt, das sich die CDU nicht klar zur Klima Allianz bekennen möchte? Oder wohl treffender, nicht kann… Aufjedenfall ist Fakt das sich die „heimatverbundene“ (welche es doch dann auch zu bewahren gelten sollte..) bisher nicht für die Klima Allianz ausgesprochen hat, im Gegensatz zu allen anderen der etablierten Parteien Deutschlands..

Avaaz hat hierzu eine schöne Aktion gestartet, quasi der Weckruf für die Union..

Nachtrag via Avaaz: Aussage der CDU ist das es sich sabei nur um ein „Missverständniss“ handelt und keine Teilnahme aufgrund von „Terminproblemen“ ..
Ein guter und wichtiger Aspekt wurde in dem Gästebuchmodul zu der Aktion geschrieben:

Ich halte das für keine gute Idee. Die CDU ist durchdrungen von den Unternehmen und ihren Lobbyisten, die andere Ziele als den Umweltschutz verfolgen. Nämlich Profitmaximierung. Wenn wir die Politiker zwingen, zu lügen, machen wir sie vielleicht dadurch für uninformierte Leute wählbar und schießen uns damit letztendlich selbst ins Knie. Lassen wir sie bered schweigen. Dear friends in Germany,

On climate, it’s now or never. We have just under 100 days left before critical UN climate negotiations in Copenhagen, where 192 countries will try to reach a new global treaty to avert climate disaster and unleash a new green economy. With a deal nowhere in sight yet, the EU must lead the world to a strong treaty — and the next German chancellor must lead the EU.

That’s why Avaaz is working closely with Klima-Allianz, a new massive coalition of over 100 German civil society groups from Greenpeace to Oxfam to BUND, to multiply voters‘ voices for climate action. Our partners are holding candidate forums in key districts all over Germany to hear from candidates about their platforms on green jobs, energy, and climate change.

We want to hear from every party, and so far candidates from each of the Greens, the SPD, the Left Party and the FDP have attended the forums. But one very important party has been conspicuously missing so far: The CDU. There are two more forums today (Monday) — in Wiesbaden and Stralsund — and again, the CDU candidates have refused to attend. If thousands of us flood the CDU offices with phone calls, we can demonstrate that real votes are at stake and convince them to participate.

Without German leadership the chances for a fair, ambitious, binding global climate treaty are slim.
